The Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched on July 22, 2022, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India. The spacecraft successfully entered lunar orbit on August 2, 2022, and landed on the moon on August 23, 2022.
The mission is a major milestone for India’s space program and is the first time that India has successfully landed a spacecraft on the moon’s south pole.
